Capacity Building Program

Capacity building is defined as the "process of developing and strengthening the skills, instincts, abilities, processes and resources that organizations and communities need to survive, adapt, and thrive in the fast-changing world."

The technical support provided by the El Sayed Foundation refers to activities that improve an organization’s ability to achieve its mission, define and realize its goals for maximum effectiveness in its output. For CSOs, capacity building may relate to almost any aspect of its work: improved governance, leadership,

mission and strategy, administration, program development and implementation, fundraising and income generation, diversity, partnerships and collaboration, evaluation, advocacy and policy change, marketing, positioning, planning, etc.

To support the Matchmaking Program the El Sayed Foundation offers targeted technical assistance to CSOs who require capacity building with regards to their strategy, and how to seek support from the philanthropic sector.
